Since the foundation in 1997 the company InteRES has grown dynamically. The number of employees has risen up to 30. The team, mixed of young and experienced employees, is characterized by excellent qualifications and longtime IT experiences. Numerous employees already work for the company for five years or longer. So they know the InteRES products by heart. Beside CEO Volker Herrmann, Alexander von Bernstorff (Director Airline Solutions), Anke Hsu (Customer Experience Officer) and Michael Ehlers (Director Software Development) are part of the Executive Board.
Anke Hsu – Customer Experience Officer (CXO)
Since May 2015 Anke Hsu is part of the executive board of InteRES. In her position as Customer Experience Officer she is responsible for the customer care and acquisition. Furthermore she is responsible for the strategic and operational marketing.
Anke Hsu gained experience and expertise in different positions and companies. Last she worked for FTI group as Directrice Générale and she was responsible for the setting up of FTI Voyages S.A.S., a French tour operator. From 2005 until 2013 she worked in different positions for Sabre Travel Network in Europe, in the Middle East and Africa. As Director Sales Online and Key Account Manager she contributed the development of the online sales in these countries.
Alexander von Bernstorff – Director Airline Solutions
Alexander v. Bernstorff is joining InteRES as its Director Airline Solutions as of June 1, 2016. Alexander spent the last ten years at Lufthansa German Airlines, where he last worked in corporate strategy, aligning LH’s distribution strategy organization with LH’s board of directors.
Before his strategist role and since early 2012, Alexander was LH’s representative in IATA’s NDC project, where he was a member of the Passenger Distribution Group, a member of the NDC advisory forum, and Chairman of the NDC distribution industry working group; at the same time, he developed and implemented LH’s RM-based distribution strategy.
Beforehand, Alexander managed commercial GDS relationship for Lufthansa and negotiated various contracts with its largest GDS and IT supplier.
Before joining Lufthansa, Alexander spent more than five years at Amadeus Germany where he worked as a product manager, first for the range of regional leisure products such as Amadeus Tour Market, and later on for the API V.2.
After an apprenticeship as a travel agent and a master’s degree in business administration at Frankfurt University, Alexander spent five years in business travel management at Thomas Cook Travel (which later became TUI), where he mainly dealt with the development and implementation
of business travel processes, including the utilization of new technologies, but also with the commercial relationship between the travel agency organization and its corporate customers and its providers, especially airlines.
Michael Ehlers - Director Software Development
Michael Ehlers joins the Executive Board of InteRES since July 2017. In his position (Director Software Development) Michael Ehlers leads the technical development of InteRES´s solutions within the division Travel Distribution.
Michael Ehlers works for InteRES since 2004 and already held various leadership positions. In his last position he was responsible for Agency Solutions and led the development of new front-ends for travel agencies. Furthermore he took care of the technical support for travel agency chains, which is one important customer segment of InteRES. The IT specialist has is a very skilled software expert and brings in his deep experience in software development as well as his passion for the travel industry.
